I like having lots of anime and manga on hand, because anime/manga withdrawal can be nasty. I mean, the chills, the shakes, the sweating...no, anime/manga withdrawal can be very nasty indeed XD

I started my anime library after I finished the Sailor Moon series. I then started looking for other series that I liked when I was a kid. I'm not really good with following them on TV because I would sometimes forget that they're on, or I would lose interest after a while because the waiting would be too much (I'm not a patient person >.<). I'm usually able to keep up with a TV series if I have someone to watch it with me, an even bigger fanatic who never misses an episode.

I'm more the type of person who likes to finish an entire series in one sitting, whether it is anime or manga. Naturally, this creates a problem when the anime has over 100 episodes or when the manga has like over 10 volumes. I tend to get into anime and manga marathons, where I would go through as many series or as many volumes as I can. At the end of those marathons, I get depressed because I feel like I've seen the characters through so much and I have to say good-bye to them. Then I would either start hunting for the sequel, write up the series for this site to get closure, or move on to another series. Or all of the above. This especially happens with really good series. Other times, i would get really pissed and feel cheated because the series is just...bad XP

Where is all this going? Oh, it's all relevant to this section, I promise. I really got into collecting anime and manga because it sucks to run out of titles to watch or read XP If a series is shoujo and romantic, then I'm all over it. Moreover, I collect only series that are complete. This goes back to my lack of interest in waiting for installments >.< Some non-romantic, non-shoujo titles have managed to sneak into my collection. That's because they're either famous, they were highly recommended to me, or I heard they have some romantic component to them >.<

Anyway, pretty soon, I've amassed a fairly big library of anime and manga. It's gotten so big that I have storage problems, because I don't know where to put them all. I think I need to buy one of those raised beds and stow my collection underneath :P This library catalogs that collection :3

I have not collected anime and manga for a while, and I don't plan on expanding my collection anytime soon. An exception is when I hear about a particular (completed) romantic shoujo series that I don't have yet. If you know of any such series, I would love to hear from you ^^
